What is Force? | Contact Force and Non-Contact Force | Science Lesson
In this video, we will discuss about force. A force is a push or pull. Its unit is Newton. It is named after an English scientist Sir Isaac Newton.
What can force do?
Force can
-make an object move
-change the direction of a moving object
-make a moving object to speed up
-stop a moving object
-change the shape of an object
Force can be classified into two categories.
Contact Force and Non-contact force

Non-contact Forces – Gravitational Force

Force, Work and Energy | #aumsum #kids #science #education #children
Our topic for today is Force, Work and Energy.
Force is the push or pull applied on an object.
It can move a stationary object or stop a moving object.
Force can also change the speed and direction of a moving object.
If enough force is applied, it can also change the shape or size of an object.
When force is applied on an object, resulting in the movement of that object, work is said to be done.
Work can be calculated using the formula, Work done is equal to Force into Distance.
The ability or the capacity to do work is called energy.
The food that we eat gives us energy to do various activities.

Non-contact Forces – Gravitational Force
Why does a ball fall to the ground when you drop it? Why do skydivers fall to the surface of the Earth when they leap from an airplane?
For an object to be in motion, like a skydiver falling to the Earth’s surface, one or more unbalanced forces must act on it. All objects have an invisible force that pulls on other objects. This force is called gravitational force, or gravity. A skydiver falls to the surface of the Earth due to the pull of the Earth’s gravity.
The strength of an object’s gravitational force depends on it mass. The gravitational force of objects with a small mass, such as a tennis ball, is too weak to observe. Compared to a tennis ball, the Earth has a much greater mass. The strong gravitational force of the Earth keeps everything on the Earth’s surface. The Sun’s gravity attracts the Earth and other planets in the solar system. It keeps the planets and other objects in the solar system in orbit around the Sun.
Gravitational force also depends on distance. The closer objects are to each other, the greater the gravitational force.
